the rain's just coming down hard
It was 4 am when the announcement came that there wouldn't be any classes for elementary and highschool students. CHED's announcement didn't come, and no one from their office was answering the calls of the radio stations to inquire if college students had classes. Most universities made the announcements themselves, like CEU, UST etc. Ateneo didn't announce anything over by the radio, but even if there wasn't any announcement, my mom decided not to let me go to school (because what happened to me yesterday might happen again) anymore. I checked with my friends and they weren't going to school anymore too. Then at around 6:30 am I received a text from Clarisse, and the Sanggunian was spreading the announcement that classes were suspended for the day.
At least they came with the announcement early. Yesterday, Katipunan was flooded already and the rains weren't showing any signs of stopping when the announcement came, and most of us were already in school. My mom told me to stay with Nikki at his condo unit for a while because all the major roads leading to AdMU were flooded so there was no way they would be able to fetch me. When the rain finally died down a bit and the flood subsided, Vany, James, Patis and I went to McDonalds (Yukari gave us a ride) and ate lunch there. Nikki would meet us there before we go to his place. James left early and then the rest of us just waited for Nikki to finish eating his meal, and then we were off.
I had to stop by at National Bookstore to buy some supplies, namely ballpens, a mechanical pencil, gel pens and metal pens. They went with me and we did a lot of looking through all the ballpens they had. Vany and Nikki took their time in testing almost all of the ballpens they had. I always hold on to my preference of buying only PILOT or FASTER brands of pens, so I had my items fast. But I did join them in testing out the pens on the scratch papers. My cellphone died (no more battery) so I gave my mom Nikki's number if she needed to call me. She did call his number and she told me that she would be fetching me already since the roads have cleared a bit. The flood was still deep but it was already "passable" for our Pajero to go through. I just thanked Nikki for accompanying us, and then my ride came.
When I went home, the house was in a huge mess. Since the creek outside our house overflowed (because the Marikina River overflowed... we passed by there and the water level was beyond critical point, it was really scary) so some of the water went in our backyard and the kitchen. All the houses in our street experienced the same thing, so my parents and the house maids had to bring all our stuff to the second floor of the house for a while. When the rain stopped, we cleared the water out and it was only this morning that we were able to place all the things back to where they belong again.
But now, the rain has been growing stronger again, and the weather forecast was that the supertyphoon would be expected to go in the Philippine Area of Responsibility this afternoon, if not then it won't pass through and it will head for Taiwan directly. I haven't heard any news yet about the typhoon on TV as of now, but I hope we would be spared. I am actually looking forward to go to school tomorrow, minus the fact that I would have exams for English, Environmental Science and Filipino class ^^.

I've finally managed to download the complete file off SoulSeek just now, and I'm still queued up for some more downloads (some GLAY and Miyavi stuffies). I just love the part where Hisashi sings a part of the chorus...*goes to lalala land*.
I decided to deposit all the money I received from my debut, and so it shows that I have to earn the money if I want to buy anything now, like the new DeG dvd that's comming out soon, and of course, the dvd to the GLAY Expo 2004 The Frustrated. I also heard that WOWOW would be releasing a special GLAY DVD containing the clips that they showed on their specials. 3 Japanese DVDs won't be light on my wallet. Not to mention that I blew off nearly $50 just to buy a GLAY Expo Tour shirt :) [thanks Janna for getting it for me!] :) And now I'm aiming to go for the next GLAY Tour this comming October to November too... hopefully, I can.

things going through my head
The more I thought about it, the more I felt disgusted with myself. Now I have presented a challenge to myself, a challenge that I hope to be able to do. I've got my goals set, and all I need is to overcome a lot of traits that I've managed to acquire that won't do me any good at all. Such things are procrastination, laziness, getting easily distracted and accepting that I'm just plain average. I've got my goals and priorities set this time, and I think if I do play my cards right I'm gonna be on a winning streak!
So tomorrow I'll be watching a play for my Filipino class. I paid a grand Php 500 for a ticket to watch "Midsummer Night's Dream" in RCBC theater in Makati at 3 pm tomorrow. At least I get to go with Vany. The rest of my blockmates would be watching it on the 28th, the evening performance. If I was near Makati I would have chosen the same play performance, but I don't want to burden my parents any more with fetching me from Makati at around 10 or 11 pm on a Saturday. The thing is, I wouldn't be able to watch the AdMU vs DLSU game tomorrow. I know Erys would be atching it that day, so I'll just rely on her to tell me the developments of the game.
so everything's ok now
Now I need to work on our Eng 13 report again...
finally!
EDIT:
I still have to work on some small problems, like the font color when typing up a message in the TagBoard :)
